Meet Riot – My Therapy Dog
Riot is a four-year-old Heeler cross with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Don’t let her name fool you—she’s the most loving, gentle companion you could hope to meet. With her intuitive nature and calming presence, Riot brings warmth, safety, and a touch of playful energy to the therapy space. Whether she’s offering a quiet nuzzle or simply lying nearby, her presence is a grounding force that helps many clients feel more at ease. Riot is here to remind us that healing doesn’t always come in words—sometimes, it comes with four paws and a wagging tail.

Richard Schwartz, IFS founder.

IFS is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal.
Since being diagnosed with an Auto Immune disease in 2006 I have been navigating the world of Chronic disease. This has become a specialty of mine and I would love to help empower you to navigate whatever health challenges you are facing. My research has focussed on the neuroscience of pain and illness, an ever-changing field that I am very passionate about sharing.

I was trained in marriage and family counselling using the work of Dr. John & Julie Gottman. I work with couples and help support parents through the challenges of raising children in a constantly changing world.

Having raised two children myself, I love supporting our youth! I work with adolescents starting at age 13, supporting them through issues around anxiety, depression, and the many other life transitions they experience.

EMDR is a non-invasive and evidence-based therapy that focuses directly on the memory, and is intended to change the way that the memory is stored in the brain, thus reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms. This treatment is conditionally recommended for the treatment of PTSD.
